The 3Dnanoscopy Group’s Digi-Physi-Coffee Tradition
The 3Dnanoscopy group has a tradition of digi-physi-coffee since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced all of us to look for innovative ways to connect to each other digitally and in hybrid modes when the pandemic permitted.
Origins and Evolution
We decided to start small with only 30 min easy catch-up over coffee (or your favorite beverage or none) digitally where one member shared a short movie from their home country and we watched and discussed it together. With time, we started including soft-skills training and discussion sessions on any-and-all non-scientific topics related to research practices and career building.
Sharing Our Journey
In the past few years, we have been asked multiple times for extending the membership of digi-physi-coffee group and/or share what we are doing. While the membership remains exclusive to being a 3Dnanoscopy group member, we are happy to share with everyone what we are doing. Since 2024, a small team comprising of Rohit Agarwal and Krishna Agarwal will put our experiences (present and past) in blogposts, and share them with everyone with edit support from Aaron Vaughn Celeste.
