From Arctic Origins to Silicon Valley Success: Spermotile’s Journey through Innovation and Mentorship

Spermotile, a groundbreaking innovation originating from Tromso in the Arctic, has been making significant strides since its inception in 2022. This venture has garnered substantial support, including funding from the prestigious ERC under the Horizon Europe program (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101123485 ) and the Research Council of Norway (https://prosjektbanken.forskningsradet.no/en/project/FORISS/344599).

Recently, Spermotile was chosen for the esteemed REACH program by the NORDIC Innovation House, marking it as one of the top eight Scandinavian innovations. REACH, a Silicon Valley-based incubator, is designed to elevate Nordic tech projects that are rooted in research, helping them achieve international recognition and success. The program includes a comprehensive six-month training period, featuring two intensive 14-day acceleration phases and five months of mentoring (https://www.nordicinnovationhouse.com/siliconvalley/sv-programs/reach). The Research Council of Norway generously funds Spermotile’s participation in this program.

The program provides the opportunity to be mentored by these industry luminaries:

Nathan Gold - Arne Tonning - Tristan Kromer - Eva Nahari - Terri Hanson Mead -  Han Jin –Ludvig Hambraeus - Vicente Calvo Alonso - Anne Wolfson - Gro Dyrnes –Chander Chawla
