Outstanding Paper of 2023

We are honored to share a recent achievement! A work of ours has earned the distinction Outstanding Paper of 2023 by the ASME Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation, Diagnostics and Prognostics of Engineering Systems.

Our paper, “Deep Learning-Based Denoising of Acoustic Images Generated With Point Contact Method,” has proudly been selected as an 2nd Outstanding Paper of 2023 by the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation, Diagnostics and Prognostics of Engineering Systems. Congratulations to the authors Suyog Jadhav, Ravali Kuchibhotla, Krishna Agarwal, Anowarul HABIB, and Dilip Prasad.


The work was done when Ravali Kuchibhotla and Suyog Jadhav were undergraduate students of The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. They were doing remote internships with Bio-AI Lab UiT- The Arctic University of Norway in 2020.

This honor will be officially presented at the 51st Review of Progress in Quantitative Non-Destructive Evaluation (QNDE 2024) conference in Denver, Colorado, USA this July.
